Peel, Isle of Man
Peel is a lovely little fishing town on the west of the island. It is famous for its sunsets, castle, cathedral and kippers. We arrived early one summers evening and were lucky enough to see a number of seals in the harbour and five Basking Shark! The ruined castle is well worth a look around. It is actually on St Patricks Isle, which is joined to the mainland. We also saw evidence of the Viking longboat races, which had been held earlier in July. Peel has lovely sandy beaches and a very laid back feel.
