Port Erin, Isle of Man
Its such a shame that we took these photos on a cloudy morning, because Port Erin is lovely. I used to spend many holidays on the Isle of Man as a child and Port Erin was always my favourite place to go. Forty years on, it hasnt really changed.
The sea is still clear, the vast, sheltered, sandy beach is still perfect for sand castles and Dad-burying. Parents will still drag their children for a healthy walk out to Bradda Head and Milners Tower. And the sun will still go down before the children are ready to go home.
Ah, nostalgia. It aint what it used to be
