Niarbyl, Isle of Man
Niarbyl is on the Western coast, south of Peel and is the perfect for a spot of peace and quiet, or serious rock pooling.
We loved this place. There are fantastic coastal and sea views. Little thatched cottages nestle close to the cliffs, down on the beach and were used for the filming of Waking Ned, as was the village of Cregneash, nearby.
There is a café and visitor centre up on the hill, by the car park, which serves real cappuccino! (I realise this may not be very exciting to you, but we had gone TWO WHOLE DAYS without one)
